Roland Pálffy

CFO

Roland oversees Initium’s financial strategy, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring sustainable operations. With extensive CFO and controlling experience, he supports contract negotiations, partner agreements, and financial processes, helping guide RDI projects and collaborations from a strong fiscal and compliance perspective.

Zsolt István

Head of RDI

Zsolt is an experienced Innovation Project Manager with over 25 years of expertise in leading R+D+I projects. Proven track record in developing and implementing innovative solutions in both academic and industrial settings. Skilled in strategic planning, innovation ecosystem design, waste, logistical and life-cycle management. Published author and speaker at conferences.

Zoltán Kátay

Technology Transfer Manager

Zoltán has over a decade of experience in venture capital, product management, and AI-driven business strategy to support Initium’s RDI, startup and corporate venture activities. Skilled in market research, portfolio management, and business modelling, he helps translate innovation into scalable impact.

Viktória Reicher

Head of Office

Viktória manages the daily operations and is the administrative backbone of Initium Venture Labs. She ensures smooth coordination, supports project logistics, and helps to streamline internal processes, thus enabling the RDI and innovation teams to focus on delivering impactful collaborations and results.

Gábor Homonnai

Innovation Expert

Gábor supports RDI sales and partnership building at Obuda University, leveraging experience in innovation management, public relations, and economic analysis. Skilled in stakeholder engagement and communication, he helps connect university expertise with industry needs to advance applied research and collaborative innovation.

Craig V. Johnson

Technology Transfer Expert

Craig drives the partnership and sales process for research, development, and innovation projects. He is also involved with startup support and IP commercialisation at the university. Skilled in innovation management, financial planning, youth engagement, and industry-academia collaboration, he helps to turn research into market-ready solutions whilst guiding early-stage teams.

Csaba Árendás

Innovation and Venture Partner

Csaba is specialized in venture capital investments, innovation management, and complex engineering across AI, hardware, and software. With deep experience in startup development, precision agriculture, and technology transfer, he helps turn cutting-edge research and technology concepts into viable, scalable market solutions.

Anita Dancs

Grant Project Manager

Anita is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of Proof of Concept (PoC) projects, as well as the preparation and management of grant applications aligned with the company’s strategic profile. She is experienced in project management, proposal writing, and cross-functional coordination throughout the full application and implementation process.

Szabi

Innovation Puppy in Residence

Szabi joins Initium as our Innovation Puppy in Residence for the summer. A young Hungarian Mudi, he supports the team by encouraging curiosity, movement breaks, and better work-life balance. While still developing his office etiquette, he already shows promise in morale-building, stakeholder engagement, and puppy-led innovation.
