8th INNOMEET – Personal reflections and shared inspiration through innovation

What does it mean to be successful and how can it be achieved? This question set the tone for a unique event hosted by the Obuda University’s technology transfer company, Initium Venture Labs Zrt. on the 19th of June in the Bosch room of the Kandó Kálmán Dormitory, and which attracted many interested parties despite the exam period.

The inspiration-focused event offered an opportunity for students, lecturers, researchers, entrepreneurs, startups and investors to discuss in one space, drawing on each other’s thoughts and experiences, how to recognize and experience success in both a professional and personal sense.

Dr. Tamás Haidegger CEO and the invited guests – cryptographic engineer and businessman István Lám and venture capitalist Borbála Farkas-Fözy – discussed how success can manifest itself in different areas of life: in science, business, community building or even self-knowledge. They agreed that although experiencing success is an extremely personal experience, it gains its true meaning when we can experience it in a community, connected to each other.

The audience was also an active participant in the collaborative thinking: with the help of Mentimeter, dozens of answers were collected on what success means, how it can be achieved and how it can be experienced. The results showed that most people want to create something lasting that goes beyond themselves.

According to the message jointly formulated at the event, the path to success is not easy, but the most important thing is not to be afraid to start. The INNOMEET event series will continue in September.
